In an attempt to avoid some of the confusion of past releases, we’ve broken down the blocking flags into per-product blocking flags, and eliminated the overlap between flags for the same timeframe.  Assuming bugs are in appropriate components, it should be easy to nominate for the correct blocking flag. The flags are as follows

blocking-1.8.1 (Blocking) (Nominated)
Bugs that should be fixed in Gecko 1.8.1, which will be the base for Firefox 2 and Thunderbird 2 (and likely some sort of Seamonkey release, among others).  For more details on what type of fixes may be in scope for Gecko 1.8.1 please see the Branch Plan.

blocking-firefox2 (Blocking) (Nominated)
Bugs in the Firefox app-level code (i.e. not Gecko) that should be fixed in Firefox 2.

blocking-thunderbird2 (Blocking) (Nominated)
Bugs in the Thunderbird app-level code (i.e. not Gecko) that should be fixed in Thunderbird 2.

Please get into Bugzilla and get the nominations in early, while we have time to fix things.  The appropriate groups should be triaging their lists over the coming weeks.  For anyone looking for things to fix, the bugs on these lists are the current priority, and will generally get review priority over non-blockers.
